Before I tell you the story, I have to admit I was guilty of all the classic places I used to keep my glasses, tucked in the neckline of my top, stretched on top of my head and the dreaded glasses beard hanging precariously under my chin. All not a good look! ☺
So…this is what happened; I was hosting a huge holiday dinner party and my mom was visiting from out of town. She had to catch an evening flight and after the festivities, I took her to the airport. Once she was on her way, it was late, and I came home to tackle the kitchen clean up. I got everything all tidied up and went to bed. The next morning I’m roaming around my house muttering to myself hey, where are my glasses?? After 30 minutes of searching, and now running late for a meeting, I’m frantically wondering hey where the %$#@ are my glasses?? I retraced my steps a million times, I was definitely wearing them when I drove Mom to the airport, and when I came home. They must be here somewhere!! The searching went on for 4 days and they had seemingly vanished into thin air! I finally caved in and bought a new pair.
About a week later, I decided to do some baking. I have a small kitchen and store some pans in the oven. I opened the oven door, pulled out the top rack and low and behold, there were my glasses sitting in a roasting pan! Wait, it’s all coming back to me! I tucked my glasses in the neckline of my top and when I bent over to put the pans away, they must have fallen in!
Misplacing my glasses and spending time looking around for them was a common occurrence and the more glasses you have readers, glasses for distance, sunglasses, etc. the more annoying it gets! With my background in design and product development, I embarked on this journey to solve a problem and try to make life a little easier along the way by creating necklaces that will hold your glasses and make you feel happy when you wear them!
